What are your rates?

I offer two fee structures.

For fiction and nonfiction manuscript reviews, I have a reasonable hourly fee.

For proposal development, career guidance, query letter preparation and contracts review, I have a different hourly fee with a 3 hour minimum.

A percentage of my fee is due up front with the remainder due upon completion of work.

How long will it take for you to get back to me after I send you my manuscript?

We will schedule a mutually convenient time for me to begin work on your manuscript and I will finish work and respond to you within 2 weeks of that date.

What kinds of writers/writing do you work with?

I work with serious, committed writers who are willing to work hard to make their work the best that it can be.

I will read and evaluate manuscripts and work on proposals covering most nonfiction topics.

I will also work with most fiction excluding books in the straight science fiction, fantasy or romance genres. If you need help in one these genres, I recommend that you contact Liz Scheier.

I may ask you to send me sample pages of your novel so that I can determine if I am the right editor for you.
